My Dvd’s & Vids (Sept 09)

71 films from 20 countries. I’ve still got 5 to watch.

I’ve reviewed 34 so far, so there’s another 37 to go (as of Sept 09)

I’ve done a lot of late-night taping to vid from BBC2 and Channel 4 – altho in the last couple of years the number of subtitled films you get on TV has dried to a trickle. I’m getting thro freebies from the broadsheets. I’ve been subscribing to Love Film. I borrow from Newton Abbot library (they classify world cinema as “special interest” and only charge a quid per Dvd) Occasionallyi discover something mooching around 2nd hand shops or car boots.

60 of these films are not English. I don’t mind reading subtitles. I’d rather watch a film in original Mongolian than have it dubbed over.
